Research Background:
Dr. Voelz joined the faculty at the NMSU Klipsch School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the fall of 2001. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Voelz worked at the Air Force Research Laboratory (Albuquerque, NM) for 15 years on imaging and wave front sensing applications. His research involves active (laser) and passive (sunlit) imaging, wave front sensing, detector and camera systems, laser speckle phenomena, atmospheric propagation, polarization, and digital image and signal processing.
