There are a number of courses on optics (including modern topics such as lasers, fiber optics, and electro-optics as well as classical topics) on the NMSU campus for upper-division undergraduate students and graduate students.
They are taught by faculty of Department of Physics (Professor Armstrong), Klipsch School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (Professors Giles and Voelz), and Department of Chemistry (Professor Smirnov). Most of these courses are cross-listed in the Physics and ECE departments.Four courses will be offered in Spring 2006.
